NEW!! EDGE 180™ contains a source of CBD (from Broad Spectrum Hemp) to support a healthy nervous system, balanced behavior, mental alertness and relaxation (without drowsiness). EDGE 180™ also contains active ingredients to help coat/soothe the stomach to aid in suppressing abrasive stomach acid from causing irritation/upset.
What is Broad Spectrum Hemp?
Broad Spectrum Hemp contains the whole hemp plant including naturally occurring CBD, with THC removed. Cannabinoids and plant compounds found in broad spectrum hemp create synergism where they work together to complement each other, offering a greater impact on health conditions.
It is also known to help to stimulate the brain's Endocannabinoid system which effects a multitude of physiological functions to help maintain homeostasis (stable internal environment) as well as helps support a natural inflammatory response to help aid in discomfort associated with daily exercise and activity.
Benefits of Broad Spectrum Hemp (with naturally occurring CBD):
• Balanced Behavior • Homeostasis
• Mental Alertness • Natural Inflammatory Response
• Relaxation (without drowsiness)

Hyrdolyzed Gelatin is the name for cooked collagen which is the most abundant protein found in our body. It is primarily made up of the amino acids glycine and proline. It also happens to be a gut-healing superfood! When you consume gelatin, it basically acts like spackle to fill any holes you have in your gut - protecting the stomach lining/gut mucosa which in turn helps to suppress the abrasiveness of gastric juices.
Licorice is one of the most widely used herbs for people and animals in both Western and Chinese
medicine. Sweet and soothing, supports a normal inflammatory response, healing and gastric
health. The deglycyrrhized form is preferred because it does not have the side effects of the plant as a whole.
Glycine helps promote a balanced digestive system and provides antioxidant protection to your body from free radicals.
L-Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body, especially in muscle tissue. Although it
is not an essential amino acid, there is such great demand for its use in the body that production
may not be able to keep up with consumption, so supplementing may be necessary. Glutamine is
involved in more metabolic processes than any other amino acid, helps support a normal inflammatory response within the GI Tract.
Valerian Root is an herb with specific actions on the nervous system. Valerian re-balances a nervous system
struggling with restlessness and anxiety. Because it also relieves muscle cramps and
spasms associated with tension, it is especially helpful in horses that process anxiety through their muscles.
**Valerian root is a banned substance in many organizations, always check competition guidelines regarding
its usage.
Magnesium (Mg) is a vital macromineral, and it is becoming increasingly recommended by veterinarians for
various treatments in the horse. Because one of the clinical signs of magnesium deficiency is nervousness, it
is added to many calming supplements. Magnesium helps support a normal inflammatory response.
Magnesium may play a role in insulin resistance and equine metabolic syndrome. Within the muscle calcium
and magnesium work antagonistically — calcium causing muscle contraction and magnesium inducing
relaxation. If there is not enough magnesium, muscles tend to spasm
Thiamine, or vitamin B1, plays a vital role in carbohydrate metabolism and nerve transmission. The NRC has set a daily dietary requirement for thiamine because, unlike most of the other B vitamins, microorganisms in the intestine do not make enough thiamine to meet the horse's needs. Fortunately fresh forage and cereal grains are good sources of this vitamin. However, hard-working horses or those on high grain diets may have reduced production of thiamine by intestinal bacteria because of stress or hind gut acidosis. Thiamine supplementation has been shown to have a calming effect in individuals displaying undesirable behavior due to a thiamine deficiency or increased requirements.
Tryptophan is an essential amino acid, which, if lacking in the diet, can cause anxiety. Serotonin is made from
L-Tryptophan and serotonin is the neurotransmitter in the horse’s brain that aids in the feelings of well-being and contentment, to calm and to soothe.
Taurine can be used alone, or with other calming ingredients, for anxious behavior or horses in challenging situations. Also supports heart and muscle function along with liver and nervous system health. It can be found in supplements for growing horses, nervous horses and horses with metabolic issues.
Inositol is one of the lesser known B vitamins and also referred to as vitamin B8. Inositol is critical for messages
sent between different cells, particularly those found in the brain and spinal tissues. Participates in the action of serotonin, a neurotransmitter whose brain levels are known to be a factor in excess anxiety, inositol may be helpful in nervous horses.

Some critical factors to be aware of when choosing a CBD Product:
** Make sure you know exactly how many milligrams(mg) are in each 1 ml dropper or serving. Read the label.
** Some CBD products tell you how many mg are in the entire bottle. This is very misleading. Divide that amount by 30 if it is 30 ml bottle, go get the amount per serving.
** If is best to start with a smaller dosage, once or twice daily, for 10 to 14 days, and then adjust it up or down to fit your individual needs.
** CBD is naturally fat soluble and is retained in the tissues for weeks, unlike water soluble CBD, which leaves the body via the urine after a few hours. However, a daily supply will keep your blood levels consistent.
** Beware of companies that claim their product dissolves in water. Water soluble CBD is not naturally occurring. To make it water soluble, it involves “Nano-Emulsion” which has not been proven to be effective. Plus, it involves adding harmful chemical surfactants.
